Faculty of Industrial Technologies (FIT) prepares specialists in the field of mechanical engineering and technologies with the confidence of being the founder of technical education in Bulgaria. From the first academic year 1945/1946 to the present, thousands of engineering staff have been trained, finding successful careers both in our country and in other countries on all continents around the world.
The mission of FIT is to be a leading national center of international significance in educational, research and development, applied, and implementation activities.
The vision for implementing the mission of FIT, as well as its development, is to organize the activities of scientists and teachers in such a way as to meet the challenges and requirements of changing public expectations, economic development, and the business environment of the globalizing Bulgarian economy, through:
- providing modern and high-quality training of adequately qualified engineers with knowledge and skills at the three qualification levels - bachelor, master, and doctor;
- actively involving students, doctoral students, and specialists in the research and development activities of the faculty;
- research and development activities in partnership with leading European and global industries;
- activating scientific and applied research to support industry, small and medium-sized enterprises, with the aim of developing the knowledge economy.
