Artificial Intelligence Application Policy

In the contemporary academic and scientific environment, artificial intelligence (AI) offers significant opportunities for improving education, research, administrative processes, and the daily activities of higher education institutions. At the same time, the use of AI poses challenges related to academic integrity, ethics, personal data protection, and intellectual property.

Technical University – Sofia (TU – Sofia), as a leading academic and scientific institution, recognizes the potential of AI to create innovations and enhance the quality of education and research. In this context, the University considers it necessary to establish clear and responsible guidelines for the use of AI by faculty, students, researchers, and staff.

This policy aims to ensure that artificial intelligence technologies are used in a transparent, ethical, and fair manner, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as with the values of TU-Sofia – academic integrity, responsibility, and respect for personal and scientific integrity. The policy seeks to promote informed and responsible use of AI to support the development of the academic community, without compromising the fundamental principles of higher education and scientific ethics.
