The Engineering-Pedagogical Faculty (EPF) in Sliven was founded in 1986 and is a branch of the Technical University (TU) – Sofia. The faculty offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Graduates of the faculty receive a higher education diploma with the professional qualification of "engineer" or "master-engineer", corresponding to the educational-qualificational degree of "bachelor" or "master". The diplomas issued with the stamp of TU – Sofia are a guarantee of competitiveness not only in the European Union countries but also in many other countries outside the community. A distinctive feature of the Engineering-Pedagogical Faculty (EPF) is the mandatory parallel training of students from the bachelor's programs in pedagogical preparation, as a result of which they also receive a certificate of professional qualification as "teacher".

A privilege for students is the opportunity for any interested person (married or unmarried) to be accommodated in a student dormitory, whose building, together with the adjacent student canteen and the faculty buildings, forms a campus against the backdrop of the Stara Planina reserve "Sini Kamani". 
Engineers and master-engineers trained by the teaching staff of EPF – Sliven can apply their knowledge and skills in a number of areas of production, trade, state and municipal administration, as well as develop their own business, according to the acquired specialty. Thanks to the additional professional qualification as "teacher", they can also realize themselves as teachers in vocational and general education high schools in the country.
