The Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management (FGEIM) was established in 1990 as a result of an intergovernmental agreement between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Federal Republic of Germany. The education at the Faculty is conducted entirely according to German curricula, in the German language, by German and Bulgarian lecturers. They provide valuable knowledge for students in the following specialties:
- Computer Systems and Technologies - (in German language jointly with Magdeburg University) - 4-year bachelor's course (8 semesters, including a 20-week specialized internship);
- Business Informatics - (in German language jointly with Magdeburg University). This is a 4-year bachelor's course with a 20-week specialized internship included;
- Mechatronics and Information Technology (in German jointly with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology). This is a 4-year bachelor's program including a 20-week specialized internship;
- Computer Systems and Technologies - (in German jointly with the University of Magdeburg). This is amaster's program of 3 semesters for candidates with higher education, having graduated in technical or natural science specialties;
- Industrial Management - (in German jointly with TU Braunschweig). This is a master's program of 5 semesters for candidates with higher education, having graduated in technical or natural science specialties;
- Business Administration (MBA) in German jointly with FOM Essen. This is a paid master's program of 5 semesters for candidates with higher education.
The training at the Faculty of Applied Pedagogy and Management has been supported for over 30 years by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), thanks to which many laboratories and computer rooms have been built with German furniture and according to the German model, as well as a rich library with more than 10,000 volumes of textbooks and scientific literature, receiving 20 scientific journals annually. Evidence of the quality of training at the Faculty is the fact that all graduates have received German diplomas from the partner universities in the training.
