Information and Communication Technologies

The training in the specialty "Information and Communication Technologies" aims to prepare highly qualified engineering staff who will carry out the design and construction of information and communication systems, programming, as well as scientific and managerial activities in the field of information technology. Due to their excellent language skills, it is expected that graduates will also serve as intermediaries in the many French companies that have established production facilities in our country in recent years.The specialty is two years long and is one of the two in Bulgaria that have received joint accreditation from: the National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation - NAEAA, the French Commission for Engineering Degrees (Commission des titres d’ingénieurs - CTI), the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE). Graduates of the specialty acquire the title of "diploma engineer" in the countries of the European Union, Turkey, and Russia. The training is conducted entirely in French. The specialty "Information and Communication Technologies" belongs to professional field 5.3 "Communications and Computer Engineering".

The Faculty of Francophone Electrical Engineering is part of the Technical University – the most prestigious technical higher education institution in Bulgaria. It is taught by selected and established specialists from various faculties of TU-Sofia, many of whom have specialized in France and other countries.

FFOE is the only faculty at TU-Sofia that offers admission to a master's program directly after secondary education.

To possess a "bachelor's", "master's" or "professional bachelor's" degree in the professional fields of "Communications and Computer Engineering", "Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation", "Informatics and Mathematics" or "Electrical Power Engineering". Graduates from other professional fields are admitted to a preparatory year with paid tuition. Proficiency in French is also required

Required documents:
1. application form;
2. higher education diploma (or academic transcript, if the diploma is not yet issued);
3. receipt for the application fee payment;
4. declaration of French language proficiency (included in the application form).

The curricula are harmonized with those of leading French engineering universities. The level of education is maintained through active academic exchange and visits by faculty and students to and from France.

The quality of teaching and student preparation is accredited by the French CTI Commission (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur) - the oldest accrediting institution in Europe and a member of ENAE (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Programs). The diploma from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering provides graduates with the legal right to use the title Graduate Engineer in European Union countries, Turkey, and Russia.

The Faculty also holds a Quality Certificate for Education, issued by the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education in Bulgaria.

The implementation of completed FFOE graduates is particularly successful and fast. The broad engineering knowledge acquired during training helps build highly qualified engineers capable of working in many different fields of science and technology. In addition, fluent command of French and English gives a key advantage when applying for jobs.
