The Faculty of French Training in Electrical Engineering (FFEE) is part of the Technical University - Sofia, the most prestigious technical educational institution in Bulgaria. The Francophone Faculty is taught by selected and established teachers from various faculties of TU-Sofia. Most of them have specialized in France, Switzerland, and other countries.

FFEE is the only faculty at TU-Sofia that admits students to a master's program after secondary education.

What are the admission requirements?

The main requirement for admission to the specialty is proficiency in French. In addition, in accordance with the application procedure at TU-Sofia, applicants who have chosen to study at the French Faculty must also take an additional exam in French.

Before the start of the first academic year, an intensive 10-day French language course is conducted for students who need to improve their French language level.

The competitive exam in French is considered passed by applicants:
- who have an excellent grade (6) in French in their secondary education diploma;
- who have successfully passed the state maturity exam in French;
- who possess B1, B2, or C1 certificates for proficiency in French;
- who have graduated from the following high schools:

What will I learn?

For your convenience, we offer admission to a generalized specialty called "Electrical Engineering," after which, following the first two years of study, each student chooses one of the following engineering specialties:

Electronics, automation and electrical engineering,
Informatics and communications.

The faculty provides education at two academic levels – master's and doctoral. With the necessary qualities and motivation, students can continue their development in the doctoral module.
The curricula are harmonized with those of leading French engineering universities. The level of education is maintained through active academic exchange, including visits and mobility of teachers and students between Bulgaria and France.
The quality of teaching and student preparation is accredited by the oldest European accrediting institution – the French CTI Commission (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur), which is part of ENAE (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Programs). The diploma from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Electronics grants graduates the legal right to use the title "engineer" in European Union countries, Turkey, and Russia.
The Faculty also holds a Quality Certificate for Education, issued by the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education in Bulgaria.
