• manager, specialist, and organizer in enterprises for the production or distribution of electricity, in repair bases for electrical equipment;
• dispatcher in enterprises for the production or distribution of electrical energy;
• energy engineer in industrial, transport, mining, and agricultural enterprises and companies;
• designer, technologist, and collaborator in offices, companies, and research centers;
• technical manager in installation-construction enterprises and companies;
• collaborator in scientific units;
• manager, expert, consultant and specialist in state and public institutions, commercial companies and organizations, private business.

For the bachelor's degree level, individuals who have completed secondary education and passed an exam in accordance with the established rules at TU Sofia are admitted. For the master's degree level, bachelors from the "Electrical Engineering and Electrical Equipment" specialty or bachelors from other specialties who have undergone preparatory training in the specialty are admitted.

The curriculum and programs are presented by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The academic year includes
two semesters from mid-September to mid-June. Each semester ends with an exam
session.
At the bachelor's degree level, the following are studied:
General education disciplines - economics, management, history of technology, environmental protection, foreign languages.
Fundamental disciplines - higher mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, electronics, digital and microprocessor technology, computer programming.
General technical disciplines - mechanics, chemistry, materials science, technical documentation, technical safety, electrical materials.
General professional disciplines - electrical measurements, electrical machines, electrical apparatus, high voltage technology, fundamentals of automation, automated
electric drives, short-circuit currents, electrical part of power plants, electrical networks and systems, electrical equipment of mechanisms and aggregates, lighting and installation technology, thermal energy and thermal engineering, hydraulic machines and pneumatics, machine elements and mechanisms.
