Application for the educational and qualification degree (EQD) "Bachelor" is based on the results of successfully passed state maturity exams (maturities) and/or a competitive exam. More detailed information can be found in the applicant handbook of the Technical University - Sofia.
For the EQD "Master" in the specialty "Electrical Engineering", all those who have completed an EQD "Bachelor" or "Master" in the specialties of Professional Direction 5.2 "Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation" and 5.3 "Communications and Computer Engineering" are eligible to apply.
Compensatory Training
Those who have completed an EQD "Bachelor" or "Master" in other specialties may apply for Compensatory Training, which is paid and includes the study of the core disciplines forming the specialty "Electrical Engineering". Recognition of previously studied disciplines is allowed. The duration of the compensatory training is one year, but by itself it does not confer an additional qualification degree. After completing the compensatory training, students continue their studies for the EQD "Master" on a paid basis.
Supplementary Training for Graduates with a "Professional Bachelor"
Graduates with an EQD "Professional Bachelor" in Professional Direction 5.2 Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation are offered supplementary training, which lasts one year. In accordance with the curriculum, 60 ECTS credits are provided for this training. The supplementary training is paid only. Applicants must have a grade of at least "Good", derived from the course of study and the diploma defense, as stated on the diploma for the completed EQD "Professional Bachelor". Recognition of previously studied disciplines is allowed. After successfully completing the supplementary training, students continue their studies in the EQD "Master" on a paid basis.
