Admission is conducted for graduates with an educational and qualification level of "Bachelor" or "Master" from TU-Sofia or other universities in the country and abroad, in the specialties of professional field 5.1. Mechanical Engineering of the higher education area 5. Technical Sciences.

Training is also offered for graduates with an educational and qualification level of "Bachelor" or "Master" from TU-Sofia or other universities in the country and abroad, in specialties from area 5. Technical Sciences (excluding PF 5.1. Mechanical Engineering) or in specialties from professional fields 4.1. Physical Sciences, 4.5. Mathematics, 4.6. Informatics and Computer Science, or 3.7. Administration and Management.

The Engineering-Pedagogical Faculty also offers additional training for graduates with an educational and qualification level of "Professional Bachelor" in the specialties of professional field 5.1. Mechanical Engineering of the higher education area 5. Technical Sciences.

Student admission is conducted in accordance with the Rules for Student Admission at TU - Sofia.

The training in the specialty "Design and Technologies for Clothing and Textiles" at the degree of "Master" covers three groups of disciplines:

- Mandatory disciplines. These include special disciplines that form the necessary general textile education, namely: Textile Materials Science and Testing; Mechanical Technologies of Fibrous Materials; Design and Technologies for Clothing; Design of Flat Textile Products; Marketing of Clothing and Textiles; Clothing Modeling Systems; Quality Management;

- Elective disciplines. Here, students choose one of two blocks of disciplines, which are oriented towards industrial relations, project financing of companies, technical legislation, advertising activities, and EU directives concerning textile and garment production and their products. The studied specialized disciplines form two master's programs - "Design and Technologies for Clothing" and "Design and Technologies for Textiles". The following disciplines are included in the first: Graphic Design of Clothing, Technological Systems for Clothing, Design of Clothing from Knitted Fabrics, Underwear Design, Workwear Design, and Organization of Sewing Production. The second master's program includes the following disciplines: High-Tech Fibers and Intelligent Textiles, Modern Spinning Methods, Complex Cross-Knitting, Materials for Protective Clothing, EU Directives and Standards for Clothing and Textiles, and Textile Ecology;

- Optional disciplines: Fundamentals of Textile and Sewing Production.

Graduates obtain an educational and qualification degree of "Master" in the specialty "Design and Technologies for Clothing and Textiles" and a professional qualification of "Master Engineer" in professional field 5.1. Mechanical Engineering.

The obtained educational and qualification degree of "Master" is a prerequisite for continuing education at the educational and scientific degree of "Doctor" in Bulgaria and abroad.

The Master Engineer is prepared to work in all fields requiring higher education in the specialty within the national and global economy, directly or indirectly related to the textile and apparel industry. He is competitive in the labor market not only as a specialist in the field of clothing and textiles, but also as a mechanical engineer possessing the necessary skills to operate, manage, and maintain equipment with various application areas. He can hold various managerial and executive positions in the production sector, as well as successfully pursue creative professions related to textile and clothing design, teaching, and research activities.
