The Master's degree in Preschool and Primary Education is competitive in the labor market because it possesses up-to-date knowledge, skills, and competencies. The qualification acquired during the Master's program allows the graduate to design, organize, and conduct an attractive educational and upbringing process in accordance with contemporary trends in the development of preschool and primary education.
In the "Master" program of study "Pre-school and primary"schoolpedagogyCandidates with a PhD "Bachelor" and/or "Master" from all professional fields in the field of higher education 1. Pedagogical sciences and/or who have completed an educational-qualifying degree "Bachelor" and/or Master from other professional fields, possessing pedagogical competence.
The preparation of master's students in the specialty "Preschool and PrimarySchoolPedagogy" is based on three groups of disciplines.
To thefirstgroup mandatory disciplines are included, which form the necessary basic, theoretical and pedagogical training of the specialist from this master's program: child psychology, pedagogical communication, comparative education, Bulgarian language, modern aspects in mathematics education, interactive approaches in education, health, ecological and civic education, behavior diagnosis and mediation, research pedagogy.
Thesecondgroup consists of two blocks of elective disciplines, whose focus is on the formation of pedagogical competencies: project-based and research learning, family communication, psychology of success, inclusive education, development of speech culture, academic writing, non-traditional pedagogical approaches in ECEC early childhood.
The third group includes optional disciplines such as: media pedagogy, colorology and fashion design, health and sports, etc.
The list of elective and optional disciplines is updated annually and is approved by the Academic Council of the Faculty of Humanities - Sliven.
Graduates of the specialty "Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy" can perform basic types of pedagogical activities in the field of education and other social spheres in the following positions: preschool teacher; primary school teacher; teacher-educator; pedagogical psychologist in kindergartens and primary schools; educator in homes for children with disabilities and special needs; head and instructor in centers for work with children, in children's schools and extracurricular activity groups; expert in children's departments and institutions; consultant and head of children of preschool and primary school age at institutions and private schools.
Graduates of the specialty are provided with the opportunity to continue their studies in the ONDS "Doctor" in the professional field 1.2. Pedagogy.
