The training in the educational and qualification level "Bachelor" in the specialty "Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineering" aims to prepare energy engineers with in-depth knowledge and skills in the design, construction, and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, refrigeration installations, and systems for utilizing renewable energy sources. During the students' training, leading roles are played by the high modern requirements for energy efficiency and heat retention, as well as environmental standards for the protection of the environment and water resources.

• a state maturity exam in Bulgarian language and literature, and/or;
• a state maturity exam in mathematics, and/or;
• a state maturity exam in physics, and/or;
• a mathematics test (preliminary or regular).

• General education and engineering knowledge in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, information technology, mechanics, strength of materials, electrical engineering and electronics, and fluid mechanics;
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering materials, CAD systems applicable in the field, and requirements for preparing technical documentation;
• The preparation of students covers both fundamental disciplines forming the basis of the specialty and specialized engineering subjects. Among the foundational disciplines are Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Heat Exchangers, Fuel Engineering and Technologies, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Machines, Thermal Engineering Measurements and Instruments, Heating and Gas Supply. They provide the necessary theoretical foundation for understanding the physical principles and laws governing heat transfer processes.
• Building upon this fundamental preparation, the practical-applied component of the training is developed, which includes subjects such as: Heating Systems, Refrigeration Technological Processes and Systems, Mass transfer equipment, Air conditioning, Ventilation systems in industry, Refrigerators and refrigeration plants, Thermal management, Regulation and control of thermal processes, Renewable energy sources, Water treatment for thermal systems, Engineering ecology and others. This training is aimed at forming knowledge and practical skills for the design, operation, management, and control of thermal processes, facilities, and systems.
