Upon completion of the training, pedagogical specialists will acquire:
Candidates must hold an OKS "Bachelor" or "Master" degree from all professional fields in the field of higher education 1. Pedagogical sciences and/or have completed an OKS "Bachelor" or "Master" degree from other professional fields, possessing pedagogical competence.
The preparation of Master's students in the specialty "Innovations and Technologies in Pedagogy" is based on three groups of disciplines:
First group - mandatory disciplines that form the necessary theoretical pedagogical training of the specialist: Innovations in Education, Technologies of Upbringing, ICT, Management of Education, Pedagogical Diagnostics, Pedagogical Conflictology, etc.
Second group - Three blocks of elective disciplines, whose focus is on the formation of pedagogical competencies: ethics in pedagogical communication, pedagogical rhetoric, psychology of family relations, etc.
Third group - practical disciplines related to the formation of professional-pedagogical qualities: pedagogical practice and pedagogical internship.
Fourth group: - Elective subjects: leadership skills, team effectiveness, creative studio of the teacher, time management. The list of elective and optional subjects is updated annually.
Graduates with a Master's degree in the specialty can perform basic pedagogical activities in all types of schools in the Republic of Bulgaria: teaching, educational, instructional, and organizational-management. They can work and be appointed as: - pedagogical consultants, school mediators; - educators in all educational-institutional bodies, in "closed-type" institutions (boarding schools, homes for children and adolescents, children's health facilities, dormitories), inspectors in children's pedagogical rooms (after the corresponding additional professional training); - pedagogical organizers in the system of extracurricular activities, including in centers for work with children; - collaborators in public and cultural organizations and institutions with educational functions: community centers, youth and cultural houses and clubs, etc.; - managerial positions in regional inspectorates and municipal structures; - expert activities in the management units of education at the Ministry of Education and in other social structures. They can continue their education in the educational and scientific "Doctor" program.
