The curriculum is developed in accordance with contemporary trends in engineering education and is built on a harmonized modular structure that ensures flexibility and relevance of the training. It provides students with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest scientific achievements, modern technologies, and promising directions in engineering. During their studies, they acquire knowledge and skills aligned with the dynamic development of engineering practice and the current needs of the labor market. The curriculum is developed based on best practices and experience from leading European universities. The acquired knowledge is easily and effectively applied in key areas of management and business, including economics, operations research, production and operations management, human resources management, financial control, and production strategies. This broad interdisciplinary foundation ensures graduates a competitive advantage and flexibility in their professional careers.

Bulgarian citizens and citizens of the member states of the European Union and of the European Economic Area, holding a diploma for completed secondary education, may apply for admission as students at the Technical University - Sofia. Applications are submitted by providing the required documents and ranking by specialty. Only candidates who have successfully passed the competitive exams (tests) and/or the state maturity exams (maturities) in the subjects prescribed for the respective specialties are included in the ranking.
Specific admission requirements: internationally recognized certificates of English language proficiency, or taking an English language test. Those interested may also take advantage of an optional one-year preparatory course in English language, and in mathematics/physics.

The training includes both fundamental disciplines – physics, chemistry, mechanics, materials science and technology, electronics, measurement systems and control theory, as well as specialized fields such as industrial electronics, electric drives, automotive electrical equipment and network communication in process control systems. 

Students develop strong analytical and computer skills through the study of mathematics, computing, applied geometry and engineering graphics . The training also includes modern technological disciplines such as computer-aided design (CAD) systems, object-oriented programming and structural analysis of finite elements (FEA). 

Students study Bulgarian and English language, passing through industrial practices and training, as well as courses on technical safety, which prepare them for a real engineering environment and professional communication. 

About 40% of graduates with a bachelor's degree in the specialization "Industrial Engineering" continue their studies in the master's program, while some of the graduates continue their studies abroad.
