National projects

The project is aimed at fundamental research on vehicles in a transport network. In the research on road transport, the transport network includes highways, and for rail transport - the railway lines that are part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T network).

The project is related to fundamental research in continuum theory for defects with disruption of the continuum medium, which is the theoretical basis of the thermal/infrared method for non-destructive testing and diagnosis. The applied aspect of the obtained results is related to expanding the functional capabilities and increasing the efficiency and quality of active infrared thermography, leading to an increase in the speed and accuracy of the diagnosis.

The object of study in the project is the phenomenology of the impact of humans as a physiological source on the deterioration of the internal environment they inhabit and the conditions of comfort, and specifically on the quality of air in the room. The study focuses on non-industrial indoor environments: residential buildings, educational buildings, administrative buildings, public buildings.

The materials from the class of organometal halide (shortly called perovskites) are becoming one of the most promising for optoelectronic applications. In recent years, they have demonstrated an amazing increase in the efficiency of converting solar energy into electricity in solar cells (up to 22%). In addition to solar cells, perovskite photodetectors have also achieved remarkable results in terms of the values of the main parameters.

The proposed project will provide a new perspective for the growth and characterization of lead-free ferroelectric oxides with high piezoelectric and pyroelectric coefficients on silicon, produced by a technology compatible with integrated circuit technology and at lower temperatures than epitaxy.

The project aims to acquire new knowledge about the mechanisms of charge generation in portable piezoelectric elements on flexible substrates and about the dependence of the piezoelectric response on the arrangement of the piezoelectric regions on the flexible substrate, the type of active piezoelectric layer, the technological regimes for its production, and the parameters of the applied mechanical force.
