Modeling and development of a comprehensive system for selecting transportation technology in a transport network
The project is aimed at fundamental research on vehicles in a transport network. In the research on road transport, the transport network includes highways, and for rail transport - the railway lines that are part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T network).

About the project
The project is aimed at fundamental research on transport in a transport network. In road transport research, the transport network includes motorways, and in rail transport, it includes railway lines that are part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T network). Given the above, the fundamental scientific research under the project will investigate the TEN-T network on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, including road and rail infrastructure. The scope of the fundamental scientific research has been chosen to investigate and study transport technologies for transport in directions that are priorities for the European Union, with a view to the operational compatibility of the national transport network with the European one. Mathematical modeling and development of a multi-criteria system for evaluation and selection of transport technology, as well as the study of relationships and dependencies of optimization parameters, will cover transport technologies for rail, road, and intermodal transport in the transport network. The research is also related to the improvement of transport vehicles; improvement of transport infrastructure and organization of transport processes; mathematical modeling and optimization of transport processes in the organization of transport.
The project corresponds to the following scientific priority areas:
The project corresponds to the following scientific priority areas:
