Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Alexander Mitov from TU-Sofia has developed a programmable control system for an electro-hydraulic steering mechanism for heavy machinery

 Alexander Mitov is a Senior Assistant Lecturer in "Hydraulic and Pneumatic Drive Systems" at the Department of "Hydrodynamics and Hydraulic Machines" at the Technical University - Sofia. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ilcho Angelov, he designed and implemented a test bench for electro-hydraulic steering devices with mechanical and digital control capabilities, which has wide application in low-speed heavy vehicles - bulldozers, rollers, asphalt pavers, combines, tractors, etc.

 Alexander Mitov is the head of the successfully completed project "Modeling and Synthesis of an Electro-Hydraulic Control Module for Digital Control of Hydraulic Steering Devices", funded by the Scientific Research Fund under the competition for funding fundamental scientific research of young scientists and postdoctoral researchers. 12 publications were produced under the project, 6 of which are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
