Asst. Prof. Dr. Bozhidar Stefanov from the Technical University – Sofia was announced as a finalist of the international edition of FameLab, being the first Bulgarian international finalist. The other finalists are from Australia, Egypt, Switzerland, the Netherlands, South Africa, Poland, Spain, Mexico, and Thailand. The final ceremony of the competition will take place on November 25 at 18:00.
The first competition started in 2005 in the United Kingdom as an event of the Science Festival. The concept of the competition is for scientists to present their scientific research in three minutes and impress the audience and the jury. The jury evaluates the clarity of the presentation, the scientific content, and the charisma of the candidate.
