The training in the specialty includes disciplines that are key to engineering practice, such as: structural strength, automatic transmissions in automotive engineering, modeling and testing of transport equipment, suspension and comfort in automotive engineering, control systems for internal combustion engines, and more. Part of the mandatory elective disciplines form six master's programs:

• Internal Combustion Engines and Automotive Engineering;
• Computer Modeling of Transport Equipment;
• Technologies for Maintenance and Repair of Automotive Engineering;
• Agrotechnics and mechanized agrotechnologies;
• Urban rail transport and railway equipment.

Engineers who have completed a master's program in the specialty "Transportation Engineering and Technologies" find employment in companies engaged in the design, production, operation, maintenance, and repair of transportation equipment. Employment opportunities are also available in enterprises of the automotive industry (plants for the production and recycling of light and heavy-duty vehicles, buses, electric and forklifts, tractors, agricultural transport machines, as well as electric vehicles).
