Young engineering graduates who have completed this master's program acquire solid foundational knowledge necessary for future engineering-scientific activities and provide them with the required professional flexibility. The training includes physical, biomedical, and technical aspects of medical technology. During their studies, students gain in-depth knowledge of modern materials and methods for designing medical engineering products. Key areas of the training include measurements in medicine, regulations and standards, technical support, quality, and safety.
The specialty offers specializations in four modules:
- "Electromedical Equipment";
- "Technical Support, Legislation and Standardization for Medical Equipment";
- "Prosthetics and Orthotics of the Human Body."
The specialty "Medical Engineering" is unique in Bulgaria and is based on the long-standing experience of TU-Sofia in this field. The teaching staff comes from leading faculties – MF, FETT, MTF, FA, EF, and licensed guest lecturers.
