Logistics is an interdisciplinary field that combines engineering, informatics, and economics, ensuring the movement, storage, and processing of materials, goods, services, and their associated information within supply chains, procurement, production, and distribution in manufacturing, commercial, and transport companies.The main task of engineering logistics is the physical implementation and management of processes for delivering the necessary goods and/or materials to the exact location and time in the required quantity and quality with minimal effort and costs. Engineering logistics is based on the principles of fundamental engineering sciences, particularly the principles of designing and managing systems and processes for transporting, storing, picking, and delivering goods and services to end users.
