Electrical engineering graduates with this specialization can work in all enterprises and companies where electrical products and devices are designed, manufactured, operated, and maintained. Applicants must have completed secondary education. Applications are submitted by submitting applicant documents and ranking by specialty. Applicants apply with a matriculation exam in mathematics, physics, and Bulgarian language or with a mathematics test.
The curriculum includes courses such as: power engineering, high-voltage technology, electrical supply and equipment, renewable energy sources, electrical machines and apparatus, lighting and installation technology, switching technology, apparatus for building automation, etc. In the training for each of the specified areas and disciplines, modern computer methods and tools are used. The specialized training is based on a solid theoretical foundation. Along with specialized knowledge, the electrical engineer receives in sufficient volume, with an applied focus: global environmental protection issues, patent and industrial law, economics, management, foreign languages, and others. Solid knowledge and training in the specialty guarantee the rapid adaptation of young specialists to the changing economic conditions in the country.
Over the last decade, interest in the Electrical Engineering program has been steadily increasing, with prestigious domestic and foreign companies. The growing demand for engineers from the Electrical Engineering program can also be seen in the fact that currently all our master's graduates are working in their field in prestigious companies, which also applies to a significant number of bachelor's graduates.
