In the master's degree program in the specialty of "Electronics," students who have graduated from other specialties are also eligible to apply, subject to certain conditions and rules approved by the management of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technologies.

The master's program aims to prepare students for scientific research and for solving more complex engineering problems in the field of information and electronic technologies.

Admission of students to the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technologies (FEET) when transitioning from the educational-qualification level of "Bachelor" to the educational-qualification level of "Master" is conducted through a document-based competition. Applicants must have a grade of at least "Good". This grade is calculated as the average of the grade from the thesis defense and the overall academic performance during the course of study. All students who have completed a "Bachelor" degree at the Technical University of Sofia, majoring in "Electronics", as well as Bachelor graduates who have completed the same major at other universities, are eligible to apply for state-funded admission. Ranking is performed in descending order of the competitive score. The competitive score is determined by the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technologies. It is calculated using a point system, with a maximum of 100 points. The duration of the program is one year.

Individuals who have a grade of at least "Good", calculated as the average of the grade from the thesis defense and the overall academic performance during the course of study, are eligible to apply for tuition-based admission. After the places allocated for state-funded admission are filled, the next ranked candidates may continue their studies upon payment of tuition fees.

Graduates who have completed an educational-qualification level of "Bachelor" or "Master" in other majors may also apply for tuition-based admission, provided they have completed bridging courses at FEET.

The training in the specialty is carried out primarily through specialized preparation, taking into account the interdisciplinary nature of the basic knowledge and skills necessary for the successful implementation of specialists in this field. The preparation of students includes training in disciplines such as: applied electronic systems with artificial intelligence and neural networks, network architectures and data protection, medical systems for remote monitoring, power electronic energy converters, systems for design in microelectronics, displays, nanomaterials, etc. Covering such a wide range of knowledge implies the presence of serious infrastructure and staffing, which is within the capabilities of a large scientific and research structure, such as the Technical University - Sofia. 
Within the preparation of students, activities are provided related to direct participation in the training process of leading companies in the industry – MELEXIS, LEM, SENSATA, GLOBAL FOUNDRIES, FESTO, CENTILLION, BOSCH, BERR HELLA, YAZAKI, HANON, "Sofia Tech Park", etc. The joint work will focus on the development of course projects and diploma theses according to assignments and with the direct participation of the companies in the process of development and presentation.
Graduates of the master's course receive a diploma for "master - engineer" in "Electronics".

Graduates with a master's degree in the specialization "Electronics" acquire training for conducting scientific research, designing, developing, and studying electronic modules and systems, as well as for organizing and managing technological processes. They can hold managerial and expert positions in companies, state organizations, and research institutes, work as lecturers in higher technical universities, and continue their studies to obtain the academic and scientific degree of "Doctor".
