The Weaving Laboratory in the Department of Textile Engineering supports the development of the necessary professional foundation in students for weaving processes, machines, technologies, and products. Laboratory exercises are conducted in the laboratory on "Weaving", "Computer Design of Yarns and Fabrics", "Design of Fabrics and Knits", "Design of Complex Weave Structures". The laboratory displays samples of various thread-like and planar structures, through which students gain a professional perspective on the aesthetics and properties of textile products. At the same time, the laboratory is equipped with interactive software products for designing and simulating weave structures and their patterning.
The laboratory is equipped with a microscope with an integrated digital camera and software for processing
images, on which textile samples can be observed and analyzed.
