The laboratory conducts laboratory exercises in "Spinning", "Computer-Aided Design of Yarns and Fabrics", "Fabric and Knitwear Design", and "Modern Spinning Methods". The laboratory is equipped with stands demonstrating the operating principles of the main machines in the technology for producing cotton yarns, and presenting three of the five spinning methods with real industrial application.
The laboratory is equipped with machines related to the processing of wool and wool-type fibers. They allow for the examination of the interaction between the processed material and the mechanisms.
Students gain practical knowledge in the management and control of processes in spinning
production and a comprehensive professional foundation is established, related to the knowledge of yarn products, which constitute a building block for all flat and garment products.
The department has interactive software products for theoretical design and simulation
of yarns. Electronic catalogs with practical examples of solving technological tasks have also been developed.
