The General Assembly (GA) is the highest collective governing body of the University. Members of the Assembly include all habilitated
persons and representatives of non-habilitated teaching staff, enrolled students and doctoral candidates, and administrative
personnel.
Its main powers are to adopt and amend the Regulations on the Organization and Activities of the Technical University - Sofia, the Regulations on the Organization and
Activities of the Control Council, the Regulation on the Conditions and Procedures for Holding Academic Positions, and the Regulation on
the Conditions and Procedures for Obtaining Academic Degrees, as well as to discuss and adopt the Rector's annual report on the state of the University and the annual report of the Control Council.
The General Assembly is convened at least once per academic year according to a specific procedure. Its term is four years, which also determines the term of all other governing bodies.
