The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the University. Its members include all academic staff holding habilitation, as well as representatives of other academic staff, students, doctoral candidates, and administrative personnel.
The General Assembly has the authority to approve and alter the Regulations on the Organization and Activities of the Technical University of Sofia, the Regulations on the Organization and Activities of the Control Council, the Regulations on the Conditions and Procedures for Holding Academic Positions, and the Regulations on the Conditions and Procedures for Obtaining Academic Degrees. It also reviews and approves the annual report of the Rector on the state of the University, as well as the annual report of the Control Council.
The General Assembly is convened at least once per academic year following established procedures. Its term of office is four years, which also determines the term of all other governing bodies.
