In the Department, the sports that can be practiced are: football, handball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, women's and men's fitness, aerobics, body design, swimming, rowing, mountaineering, sports climbing, sports orienteering, badminton, adapted physical activity for students with disabilities.

Dear students,
We inform you that due to a cable fault, the telephones in the sports complex are not working. You can contact the teachers only via their emails or in person at the sports complex.
1. Sports is a mandatory subject for all full-time students in the first and second year and an elective subject for the third year. The groups are not administrative but mixed and are specialized by sport type, with classes held once a week.
2. Registration in the groups is online in the system "E-Student".
For the summer semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, it will be active from January 29 to February 16, 2024

3. Enrollment in a specific group by sport type must be coordinated by day and time with the weekly schedules of the faculties, i.e., it must be ONLY during free time to avoid duplication with other exercises and lectures. Each student must be aware of the day, time, and name of their instructor.

4. Sport activities are conducted in the form of practical classes at the Sports Complex of TU - Sofia according to the weekly schedule of the DFPES. a) At the first sports session of the semester at the Sports Complex of TU - Sofia - DFPES, the instructors of the respective sport groups you have enrolled in online will be waiting for you.
b) The schedule of activities by sport type will be announced at the entrances and on the information boards in the sports complex of TU - Sofia - DFVS.
c) The duration of one session is 90 minutes (2 academic hours of 45 minutes each).
5. Requirements: Mandatory e) sports kit and clean sneakers/sports shoes, which are for indoor use only in the halls.
6. Endorsement of the semester in sports is obtained upon fulfillment of the attendance and participation requirements in the sessions. Reasons why the sports semester cannot be endorsed: a) Failure to register in the specialized academic groups by sport type for the semester. b) Non-attendance and insufficient number of absences in classes.

7. Students with health issues that prevent their participation in the "Sport" course during the respective semester of the academic year can submit their medical documents to the Sports Complex of TU - Sofia - DFS at Dr. Antoaneta Dimova BY THE DEADLINE OF 19.02.2024.
8. Students with grounds for inclusion in the Adapted Physical Activity /APA/ study groups should appear in Hall No. 319 at the Sports Complex of TU - Sofia - DFS, on 19.02.2024 at 13:00.

9. TU - Sofia has representative teams in the following sports: Aerobics and Cheerleading, Badminton, Basketball, Combat Sports, Judo, Volleyball, Rowing, Athletics, Swimming, Tennis, Table Tennis, Skiing, Cross-country Skiing, Snowboarding, Sport Orienteering, Football, Handball, Chess.
Students who are active athletes can join the teams after discussion and approval by the respective coach. Athletes included in the teams are exempt from regular sport classes, but attend training sessions outside the DFS academic program and participate in competitions from the AUS "Academic" sports calendar, which includes: National University Championships in sports /NUC/; University Winter Games /UWG/; National Universiade /NU/; Summer University Sports Games /SUSG/.
