Summer University Sports Games - Kamchiya 2017
For the 5th time, our teams won the championship cup
From August 27th to 31st, the Sanatorium and Health Complex "Kamchiya" hosted the 6th Summer University Games 2017 for another year. The prestigious student sports competition is organized by the University Sports Association "Academic", with the partnership and support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education and Science, the academic community in the country, and numerous sponsors supporting student sports. Over 300 athletes from the largest universities in the country competed for medals in seven disciplines - swimming, beach soccer, tennis and volleyball, 3x3 basketball, table tennis, and relay. In this year's Summer University Sports Games, the Technical University - Sofia once again became the undisputed, five-time champion. The TU athletes also fought for the overall championship cup this summer, leaving behind the teams of UNSS, SU, MU - Varna, LTU, SHU, UASG, RU, VTSU, and NBU in the final standings.
The champion's cup was presented by the chairman of the University Sports Association, Assoc. Prof. Zlatko Djurov, during the official closing ceremony of the games.
