
The second annual conference European Culture and Technologies Lab+ „Techne logos, Care and the (Neg) Anthropocene“ will take place from January 18th to 20th, 2023, at East Quad, Grangegorman Campus, Technological University (Dublin). The conference is organized by the European University of Technology (EUt+) and the European Laboratory for Culture and Technologies „ECT Lab+“.
The aim of the European Culture and Technologies Lab+ conference is to bring together experts from the fields of arts, humanities and social sciences, technology, and others, who will propose ways to move beyond the Anthropocene by rejecting the trends that led to its development.
We invite you to participate with your paper, panel, presentation, workshop seminar, poster presentation, artistic proposal, artistic conversation, installation, and intervention, which examine the relationship between technology, care, and the (Non)Anthropocene. Conference papers will be published.
The following thematic areas, without limitation to them only:
- Practices and technologies for a sense of fulfillment in architecture, social care, healthcare, childcare, food production, and education, etc.
- Climate change, Collapsology, and biodiversity
- Affect and emotion in artificial intelligence, ethical and green artificial intelligence
- Utopian and critical speculative design and aesthetics
- Speculative Fictions and Future Technological Imaginations
- European Green Deal and Technological Development
- Ethics of Responsible Technological Development
- Creative Technology and the Culture of the Critical Maker
- Ethics of Care – Securitas and New Technologies
- Climate Justice as Social Justice, Food Production, and Security
- Queer Ecology and the Post-Natural.
The deadline for submitting a description/abstract of 250 words (excluding references) is before November 30, 2022.
