
The second session of the "Create Impact" competition, organized by the Technical University – Sofia and the Carol Knowledge Foundation, has started. The initiative aims to help students or doctoral students realize their idea by funding the development of a prototype. The funds are provided by the Carol Knowledge Foundation, which awards three prizes of 1,500 euros each per academic year. In the first competition session of the current academic year, Fatme Yumer, a doctoral student in the "Technology of Sewing Production" program, won one of the prizes with a project to create eco-panels from textile waste.
Participation Conditions
All students and doctoral students enrolled for the current academic year are eligible to participate, either individually or as a team. A mandatory requirement is that the idea they present must demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, which should also be the focus of the development. Contribution to achieving the 17 UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development is highly valued.
Deadlines and Application
The application process consists of two stages. The first stage involves filling out the form by March 8, 2026. SecondThe next stage is an interview, which candidates will be invited to within two weeks after the specified deadline.
