The first EUt+ Sofia 2026 Tech Showcase Day, organized by the Technical University – Sofia, brought together leading companies in the field of mechatronics, researchers, teachers, and students.
In her welcome address to the participants, Mira Yosifova, Deputy Minister of Innovations and Growth, noted that Bulgaria has a strong scientific potential – laboratories, researchers, engineers, and talented students capable of developing high-tech solutions.

The evidence came immediately. Some of these high-tech solutions "came to life" on the screens in the capital's "Tech Arena" hall.
Representatives from BOSCH, Siemens, Festo, Melexis, and Bibus presented their most interesting projects and shared more about their activities, while scientific achievements in the field of mechatronics were demonstrated by leading researchers from the partner universities of the European University Alliance – Technical University – Sofia, the University of Technology of Troyes, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, and the Cyprus University of Technology.

Demonstrations such as "E-Kayak", "Innovative Platforms for Automation and Mechatronics", "Digital Twins: The Mechatronic Heart of Modern Buildings", "Mechatronic Neural Network for Surface Shaping", "Robotic Incremental Forming of Composite Material Sheets", "Universal Hardware Platform for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to Accelerate Research in Indoor Air Navigation" generated enormous interest, and scientists and businesses began negotiating future joint projects on the spot. This was also the main goal of the event - to demonstrate the close connection and potential for further cooperation between scientists, researchers, and engineers from EUt+ and industry.
