The project, implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Development Plan, is one of the most significant for the development of the scientific potential and international integration of the Technical University – Sofia in recent years.

Researchers from the 29 scientific groups presented the results of their nearly 4-year work. Thanks to successful collaboration with leading and established researchers from around the world, scientists at TU-Sofia have created a number of innovative solutions in strategic areas such as digitalization and information security, artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0, green energy, mechatronics, and engineering technologies for healthy living.

Over 30 young researchers have been attracted to the scientific groups and are actively working. More than 20 foreign researchers from Italy, Germany, Colombia, Finland, and many other countries are working jointly with the scientific teams in various research areas.
The scientists' successful developments are ready to be implemented in industry, and some of them are already integrated. Creating conditions for applied scientific research focused on innovation and intellectual property, as well as establishing a Knowledge and Technology Transfer Center, strengthen the link between science and business.

The implementation of project No. BG-RRP-2.004-0005 is an example of the successful implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – the university is establishing itself not only as a driver of innovation in Bulgaria and the region, but also as a leading European research and education center.
