Champions and holders of the Complex Cup are the skiers of TUS
For the 9th consecutive year, the Association for University Sport "Academic", in partnership with the National Representation of Student Councils, organized the wonderful holiday University Winter Games and Winter University with the participation of over 300 students from 21 higher education institutions.
The competition included contests in 6 sports, individually and as teams: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski rally, snowboarding, sledding, and relay, which were held in accordance with the latest rules of the respective National Sports Federation.
The games were opened by Assoc. Prof. Zlatko Djurov, Chairman of AUS "Academic", and Yana Vangelova - Chairman of NRSC; the official guest was the Minister of Youth and Sports Prof. Daniela Dasheva.
The representative teams of TUS - Sofia on the snowy tracks included 30 competitors – men and women, with their two coaches. The head of the delegation was Senior Lecturer Alexander Alexandrov from DFVS.
Classification
Individual gold medal alpine skiing - men and silver medal ski rally for Nikola Dosev, FAGIOPM..
Team men - first place and women - second place for TU - Sofia.
Individual silver medal snowboard - men for Alexander Christov, EF.
Individual bronze medal snowboard - men for Ivan Ivanov, FAIO.
Individual gold medal snowboard - women for Rumyana Rousseva, MF.
Team men and women TU - Sofia.
In the overall ranking our athletes won a total of 9 medals: 5 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze and became first, followed by NBU and LTU.
The Ensemble of Folk Dances at TU - Sofia participated in the closing ceremony of the games.
