At the 11th National Computer Networks Competition for Students (April 18 and 19), ten of the first twenty awarded participants were from TUES at TU - Sofia.
The winner of the competition was Emil Duddev, followed by Hristo Voynski and Nedko Boschkilov. The twelfth graders from TUES occupied the first 6 places in the ranking, as well as a total of 10 places among the top 20 finalists: 4th place - Anton Georgiev, 5th place - Dimitar Zidarov, 6th place - Anton Nikolov, 9th place - Toma Nikolov, 13th place - Hristo Marinov, 14th place - Konstantin Kyuliumov, 16th place - Valentin Nikolov).
The team was led by Senior Assistant Dr. Stela Stefanova, the school's director, instructor, and the happiest "finalist". TUES also received the award for the highest-ranked school – a wireless router, provided by the sponsors.
The award ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science – Ms. Vanya Kastreva, Ms. Silviya Kancheva – state expert from the Ministry of Education and Science, Ms. Vanya Yaneva – senior expert at the Regional Inspectorate of Education – Sofia City, and representatives of companies from the ICT sector.
All awarded students will be admitted to TU - Sofia without a competition.
