
The Copernicus Hackathon Sofia will take place from April 19 to 21, 2019, in Sofia, on the premises of the Technical University of Sofia.
The goal of this unique event is to promote innovative thinking and draw public attention to the wide application of satellite data from Earth observation in monitoring the atmosphere, marine environment, land surface, climate, public security, and emergency management, issues of paramount importance to every aspect of our daily lives.
Copernicus Hackathon Sofia is held with the support of partner organizations and sponsors. The Technical University of Sofia, Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management (FGEIM), is hosting the competition as part of the Center of Excellence UNITE - Universities for Science, Informatics and Technologies in e-Society. The main organizer is the Office for Transfer of Aero-Space Technologies “RISK-SPACE-TRANSFER” (RST-TTO) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Copernicus Relay network to the European Commission.
