MON honored outstanding participants in the FP "Horizon 2020"
With 1.924 million euros in attracted funds, the Technical University - Sofia received (25.03.) a certificate for achievements in the category: Most active higher education institution under the FP "Horizon 2020" in Bulgaria.
At a ceremonial event, the award was presented by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Mrs. Karina Angelieva. She congratulated the most active participants and emphasized that at the end of 2018, the European Commission announced 335 competitive calls for the submission of project proposals, with preliminary expectations that approximately 20 billion euros from the Program's remaining budget will be redistributed through them.
For the first time, the Ministry of Education and Science honored outstanding participants in the Framework Programme "Horizon 2020" in eight categories. The goal is for MON, as the national coordinating body, to encourage more active participation in European projects, attract partnerships, and give due public recognition to the most active organizations and teams.
