On the second day of the scientific forum for the "EthiCo" project, Prof. Dr. Eng. Lidia Galabova, Deputy Rector for Scientific and Applied Activities, opened a Think Tank meeting where issues related to technology, ecology, sustainable development, and the role of teachers and future education linked to technological capabilities and global climate problems in today's world were discussed. Under the motto "Care for Humanity," the main questions discussed were about the interrelationship between business, curricula, and the creation of an interdisciplinary and intercultural educational platform. In today's world, where global, universal problems must be overcome, it is necessary to create platforms, programs, and business solutions that change thinking – people should not think only of themselves, but must address problems that require adaptation abilities, development of technologies fundamentally different from the current ones – artificial intelligence, innovations in many engineering fields, which will establish and link education and scientific research with solutions to specific practical problems through the implementation of technology transfer.
At the forum, speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Angelov – Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth, Karina Angelieva, Head of the Political Cabinet of the Minister of Energy, Doncho Barbalev, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Todorov, Chairman of the General Assembly of TU – Sofia, and Prof. Noel Fitzpatrick from Dublin Technological University. The global world requires global solutions. Not coincidentally, the European Technological University EUt+ unites various ideas and opportunities. In today's rapidly developing technological world, in addition to seeking multi-faceted practical solutions, it is especially important to apply an ethical approach, in the interest not only of the individual but also of the human community as a whole.
