
The capital of the Republic of Serbia, Belgrade, became the center of the most visited cultural event in Southeast Europe - "Balkan Edu Expo", which gave participants the opportunity to present educational, cultural, and career programs to nearly 200 thousand visitors - young people from Serbia and guests from the Balkans. The education and careers forum was held within the framework of the "Belgrade Book Fair". Representatives of the Academic Department of TU - Sofia presented the study programs, opportunities, and application and admission procedures at the Technical University - Sofia to citizens of the Republic of Serbia and the region, including under Decrees No. 103 and No. 228 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria. Through materials and brochures of TU - Sofia, information was provided on the material base, social and living conditions, and future professional realization of students.

Many young people were interested in their professional development and expressed readiness to apply to specific specialties at the Technical University - Sofia for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Useful contacts were established with representatives of universities from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Russia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania.
Representatives of the Academic Department of TU - Sofia also participated in the international education exhibition - "Study Abroad Fair 2025" in Skopje, the Republic of North Macedonia. Here, the legal framework and necessary documents for application, the strengths of studying at TU - Sofia, modern specialties, and opportunities for professional development of future engineers were presented. The event was organized under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Skopje and the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Center, with the aim of attracting prospective students from the Western Balkans region. The organizers noted that over 60 thousand people visited the forum, and contacts with the target group of young people were fruitful, with many showing interest in higher technical education in Bulgaria.

The participation of TU - Sofia in exhibitions contributes to attracting more foreign students, especially from the Western Balkans region, consolidates its international profile, and increases the visibility of the higher education institution in global university ranking systems. The number of international students is a key indicator for enhancing the recognizability, significance, and authority of the Technical University - Sofia.
