For the ninth time, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy awarded the Distinction for Significant Achievements in the Implementation of the Policy on Equal Opportunities between Women and Men for 2025.
For another year, the Technical University – Sofia is among the recipients for its policy on equal opportunities. The award was accepted by the Deputy Rector for Scientific and Applied Activities and Academic Staff, Assoc. Prof. Elitsa Gieva.
Recipients in the ninth edition of the competition also include the Municipality of Ardino, the Municipality of Mizia, the Commission for Protection against Discrimination, "Kamenitsa" AD, "Experian Bulgaria" EAD, "Kaufland Bulgaria" EOOD, the Union of Bulgarian Teachers, the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria, and the University Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment "St. Marina" EAD – Varna.
During the award ceremony, the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Natalia Efremova, stated that Bulgarian legislation guarantees equal rights for women and men, but these would remain only on paper without socially responsible employers, organizations, and institutions like the award recipients.
She expressed the wish that these awards serve as an example for other organizations and institutions to develop their policies in the field of equal opportunities.
