They will meet the modern requirements of business, which gives our specialists the opportunity to realize themselves in all spheres of society. In addition, business is also involved in the process of developing the curricula. This was stated by the Rector of the Technical University, Eng. Ivan Králov, on the air of "Day in Live" on NOVA NEWS. Prof. Králov noted that the rule according to which a student cannot take an exam in other subjects if one semester is not certified in one discipline is also abolished. However, to pass the second year, all exams must be passed.
The training at the university is case-based and project-oriented, he explained in the program. "In the first and second year, students receive basic engineering knowledge. In the third, fourth, and in the master's program - they continue with a focused approach. Thus, they specialize narrowly and meet modern requirements. The Technical University sets the standards in the field, both in terms of education and scientific research. We always say that we must teach our students to do what we have not taught them. To think creatively and strive to turn their dreams into reality. An engineer in French means a person who creates, not just repairs and fixes," he added.
Regarding payment, he mentioned that even starting salaries in the field are above the national average. "In some branches, they reach 7000 leva. However, the opportunity for career development is also important. Specialists who teach with us receive up to 20,000 leva, even more. Young people are very well motivated, but the overall approach and teamwork also have a noticeable impact," pointed out Prof. Králov. The higher education institution can also boast of many investments in material resources, including centers of excellence and competence.
According to him, besides educated technical knowledge, the university also teaches virtues and morality. "To be able to use their knowledge for the good of society. In recent years, TU has made a number of changes in the field of educational technologies, introducing new broad-profile interdisciplinary specialties. An example of this in the bachelor's course is the creation of specialties such as cybersecurity, intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, data analysis," revealed the rector.
