At an official ceremony, the Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Kralov, welcomed media representatives. The Technical University – Sofia is the largest university in the field of engineering and technical sciences, Prof. Kralov pointed out. He stated that in recent years, centers of competence and excellence have been created, which have the most modern, world-class infrastructure, and TU – Sofia is the university that has the highest income from technology and knowledge transfer to business and industry.
It was emphasized that achievements cannot be visible without the participation of the media, without the real, timely, and comprehensive coverage of the university's development, the new innovative developments and technologies that are applied and create the technical elite of the nation.
The management of the Technical University – Sofia awarded certificates and plaques today to the following media and journalists:
- for comprehensive coverage of the activities of the Technical University – Sofia - the Bulgarian News Agency. The award was accepted by the Agency's Secretary General, Yulia Sokolova;
- In the category "Education and Student Initiatives", the Bulgarian National Radio was honored. The award was taken by Daniela Yakova, Director of the "Horizon" program;
- In the category "Inspiring Story for Higher Engineering Education at the Technical University – Sofia", the award was received by the Bulgarian National Television;
- In the category "Establishing the Importance of the European University of Technology in Bulgarian Society", Zoya Velinova from the BNT program "Around the World and at Home" received an individual award;
- In the category "Media Partnership and Objective Coverage of Issues in the Field of Higher Education", the award was received by Yoana Levieva for the Regional Television Center of BNT – Plovdiv;
- In the category "Innovations at the Technical University – Sofia", the award was received by NOVA TV, and for "High Professionalism in Presenting the Educational Environment and Innovations at the Technical University – Sofia", the individual award was given to Nadeline Aneva from NOVA News – host of the show "Day Live";
- In the category "Coverage of Social Issues and Student Life at the Technical University – Sofia", the award was received by bTV, and the award was accepted by Maria Aladzhova, reporter from bTV News;
- In the category "Promotion of Engineering Professions", the award was received by Bulgaria ON AIR;
- In the category "Enhancing the International Image of the Technical University – Sofia", the magazine Bulgaria ON AIR The Inflight Magazine was awarded;
- In the category "Future for Education", Vili Popova – Commercial Director at Bulgaria ON AIR and Bloomberg TV Bulgaria, print and special projects, was honored with an award;
- In the category "Institutional Media", the newspaper "Az-buki" was distinguished, and the award was received by Emil Spahiski, Director of the National Publishing House for Education and Science "Az-buki";
- In the category "Media with the Greatest Influence on Higher Technical Education", the award was received by the newspaper "24 Chasa";
- In the category "Professional Coverage of Significant Events, Scientific Achievements, and Student Motivation at the Technical University – Sofia", Yaroslava Prokhaskova, editor at the newspaper "24 Chasa", was distinguished;
- In the category "Promotion of the technological capabilities of the Technical University – Sofia", the award was received by Petia Minkova – deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine "Kosmos";
- In the category "Science and Business", the award was received by the newspaper "BANKER". It was accepted by the editor of the newspaper, Rumen Savov;
- In the category "Media support for a branch unit - Technical University – Sofia - Plovdiv branch", the award was received by the newspaper "Maritsa". The award was accepted by the editor, Ivelin Yolkov;
- In the category "Media support for the Technical University – Sofia, Faculty and College Sliven", an individual award was received by Rositsa Nikolova – regional correspondent of the newspaper "Trud" in Sliven;
