
At one of the largest higher education institutions in Europe, approximately 45,000 students are enrolled in over 60 academic programs in the fields of business and management, business and psychology, business and law, healthcare and social issues, IT management, and engineering sciences.

In recent years, the university has supported over 80 young researchers in joint doctoral projects with various partner universities.
The Technical University – Sofia is one of the few universities that offer educational programs in English, German, and French, as well as the opportunity for a double degree.

The Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management FDIBA at TU – Sofia, which today marks its 35th anniversary since its establishment, and FOM ESSEN offer a joint master's program in Business Administration – International Management. They have several completed projects funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the German Academic Exchange Service, and the Erasmus+ program.

The contract signed today and the opportunity to expand the scope of cooperation through joint doctoral training represent the next stage in the development of the scientific partnership between the Bulgarian and German universities.
