The 16th edition of the student winter forum gathered over 500 participants from more than 30 universities in the country at the Pamporovo resort.
Our students won a total of 12 medals: 3 gold, 7 silver, and 2 bronze, and won a total of 4 cups: 3 team cups and 1 complex cup from the games.
On the first day, the snowboarding competition – women and men – was held. A month after returning from the Olympics and days before the last start of the season at the World Cup in Germany, the national competitors showed their class on the "Wall" piste in Pamporovo. Olympic medalist and student at the University of Forestry Tervel Zamfirov, student at TU – Sofia Aleksandar Krshnyak, and Kristian Georgiev from NSCA occupied the podium places.
In the team classification in snowboarding, the students of TU – Sofia Aleksandar Krshnyak, Dimitar Iliev, and Aleksandar Hristov are in second place.
TU – Sofia performed excellently in the most contested skiing competition – alpine disciplines. With flawless runs in both heats, Yulia Zlatkova from TU – Sofia won the gold medal among women, and Iliya Kostov from NSCA – among men.
First place in the team classification for the female students of TU – Sofia Yulia Zlatkova, Eleonora Doseva, and Stoyana Lambreva. Among men, our team remained in the honorable second place.
In the fun discipline ski rally, Yulia Zlatkova won the silver medal among women, and Nikola Pudariev from FaGIOPM won the bronze medal among men.
In the team classification of the snow relay and the bobsleigh competition, the teams of TU – Sofia are second.
Outside of track competitions, our students proved that they are both smart and beautiful. Our representative, Petya Balkandzhieva, is Vice Miss Winter University Pamporovo '26. And in the quiz tournament, the teams of TU – Sofia occupied the podium with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
And last but not least, TU – Sofia won the applause of skiers and tourists under Mount Snezhanka with the most vocal and attractive sports delegation, which supported the athletes on the field from the first to the last minute..
