
On 28.11.2024, at a ceremonial event, diplomas were awarded to over 50 bachelor's and master's graduates of the Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Georgi Venkov, Deputy Rector for Academic Activities, Accreditation and Academic Staff, Mr. Moritz Sailer, Head of the "Economics" Department at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bulgaria, Prof. Dr. Eng. Marin Marinov, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Matthias Kluge, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoepel, Deputy Rector for Research at FOM – University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management, Essen, and Prof. Dr. Michael Göke, FOM – University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management, Essen.

The ceremony was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management, Prof. Dr. Eng. Marin Marinov, who stated that he was particularly proud of the achievements of the students studying at one of the leading faculties of TU – Sofia, the Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management, which has been successfully training students according to the German model for 34 years, and doctoral students for 15 years. He thanked the Embassy of Germany, the German Academic Exchange Service, German partner universities, and the management of TU – Sofia for their support, highlighting the efforts and commitment of over 100 lecturers from both sides.
Prof. Georgi Venkov congratulated the graduates, saying that diplomas are a reward for hard work and proven knowledge and skills, and will play a decisive role in their future professional development, because employers not only in Bulgaria but all over the world highly value the diploma of the Technical University – Sofia. He encouraged the graduates to continue to the next levels of education and assured them that the doors of the Technical University – Sofia and, in particular, the Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management will always remain open to them. Prof. Venkov wished the graduates to become highly qualified, outstanding specialists, with whom the Technical University – Sofia could be proud, and when they create strong families, to raise their children in the academic spirit in which they themselves were raised.

Mr. Moritz Sailer congratulated the graduates on their graduation and thanked them for their hard work, wishing them to continue developing economic relations between the two countries and thus contribute to the establishment of the idea of a united Europe with common values and goals.

The graduates were also congratulated by representatives of the German partner universities.
After that, the graduates took the Galilean Oath, read by Alexey Svistunov, the top student of the graduating class, and their diplomas were presented by Mr. Moritz Sailer.


Deputy deans, faculty members and staff, relatives and friends of the happy graduates were present at the ceremony.
