
An ultra-modern laboratory for mechatronics and clean technologies has been established at the Technical University – Sofia. The goal of this new type of center of excellence is to become a leading national and competitive scientific structure. Its funding is 85% from the EU and 15% national. Eleven institutes from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Technical University – Gabrovo, Technical University – Varna, and the National Laboratory for Applied Chemistry of BAS are partners in the project.
