
For the eighteenth consecutive year, the EVRIKA Foundation will select students who will receive named scholarships in the amount of 2,300 BGN annually in the following eleven fields:
1. Computer Science named after John Atanasov
2. Mathematics named after Academician Nikola Obreshkov
3. Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling named after Academician Blagovest Sendov – to be awarded for the first time
4. Physics named after Academician Georgi Nadzhakov
5. Chemistry and Chemical Technologies named after Academician Rostislav Kaishev
6. Medicine and Biology named after Academician Metodi Popov
7. Agrarian Sciences, including Veterinary Sciences and Forestry named after Academician Doncho Kostov
8. Engineering Sciences in the field of electronics, automation and electrical engineering named after Academician Dimitar Mischev
9. Engineering Sciences in the Field of Mechanical Engineering Technologies in the Name of Academician Angel Balevski
10. Construction and architecture in the name of Kolyo Ficheto
11. Economy in the name of Academician Evgeni Mateev.
As a result of a targeted donation, for the second consecutive year, following a competition and in accordance with the rules for granting named scholarships, another recipient of the special scholarship "Acad. Alexander Teodorov - Balan" in the amount of 2,300 BGN will be selected for a student of Bulgarian philology and literature.
The right to apply for the named scholarships of the "EURIKA" Foundation and the scholarship "Acad. Alexander Teodorov - Balan" is granted to Bulgarian students at Bulgarian universities in the specified fields, according to the naming of the scholarships, who have completed at least their second year of study with an academic performance of very good (5.00) or higher, and are enrolled in regular studies at the universities in the prescribed manner for the 2020/2021 academic year.
The best candidates based on documents will be invited to an interview with a specialized jury, which will ultimately determine the scholarship recipients.
Candidates for the named scholarships and the scholarship "Acad. Alexander Teodorov - Balan" are required to submit or send to the "EURIKA" Foundation /1000 Sofia, "Patriarch Evtimiy" Blvd. No. 1/ from 01.09.2020 to 15.10.2020 the following documents:
1. Application (free text) expressing the desire to participate in the competition for the name scholarship of the "EURIKA" Foundation and the Form by sample (can be downloaded from here)
2. University certificate of academic success by academic years and enrollment for the new academic year 2020/2021
3. Copies of documents confirming participation and ranking in national and international competitions, olympiads, and conferences, publications in scientific journals, and other such documents regarding the candidate's achievements in mastering the respective sciences, creative expression, and others
4. Essay on the topic "My Future as a Specialist – Dreams, Plans, and Reality" (up to 3 pages)
