Two students from the Technical University of Sofia are the first finalists in the "Become a CEZ Scholar" competition for students, which started during the current academic year. Their certificates were presented on the eve of the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and of the Slavic Literacy by the Regional Manager of CEZ for Bulgaria, Karel Kral, the company announced.
First place was taken by Martin Ralchev, a fourth-year student in "Electrical Engineering". He participated in the "CEZ Academy" project and the national competition "Innovators of the Future" – interns 2016. "Energy provokes a sincere interest in me because it provided me with the opportunity to apply a creative and non-standard approach to solving problems related to energy losses," Martin Ralchev stated during the second final round of the competition – an interview with the candidates.
The second CEZ scholarship recipient for the 2017-2018 academic year is Martin Mihaylov, a third-year student in "Electrical Engineering" at the Technical University. "In 2017, I interned at 'CEZ Distribution'. Thanks to this internship, I met many people whose drive and hard work motivated me to continue developing in the field of electrical engineering," Martin Mihaylov said during the interview.
