The Faculty of Economics has established itself over these years as an intellectual, educational, and public pillar of TU – Sofia and of Bulgarian higher education.

In its 35-year history, many of the faculty members have turned their work into a mission. The students who studied at the faculty now dream and confidently move forward in their professional careers. Many partners and friends have believed that economic and management sciences have their natural place at the Technical University – Sofia and have provided unwavering support fo their establishment.

The Faculty of Economics was born as a natural continuation and development of the Machine-Technological Faculty, today the Faculty of Industrial Technologies. Over these years, the Faculty of Economics has traveled a long and worthy path of development – from its first steps, through the expansion of departments, the creation of new specialties, the establishment of research centers and laboratories, to its transformation into a modern faculty with a clearly recognizable profile.

More than 20,000 students and over 100 doctoral candidates have passed through its lecture halls. With three bachelor's and eight master's programs, two university research centers in 'e-Communications' and 'Sustainable Technologies and Innovations', three international scientific conferences, of which the 'Management and Engineering' conference has been indexed in SCOPUS for the third year running, as well as many other achievements, the faculty has established itself as one of the prestigious and dynamically developing faculties within the university structure.

Successful alumni are the brightest and most vivid proof of the quality of education, many of whom are already successful professionals, company executives, experts in institutions, entrepreneurs, researchers, and leaders – in Bulgaria and around the world.

Proof of the faculty's successful development is that on the very occasion of the celebration, diplomas were awarded to nearly 300 graduates – bachelors and masters, who also represent the 30th graduating class in its history.
On the eve of the anniversary, together with representatives of business, a Consultative Board was established under the Dean of the Faculty, reflecting the strengthened partnership between the university and leading companies, which is key to building a strong, sustainable, and competitive national economy.

In the coming years, the Faculty of Economics will continue to develop international cooperation, create programs that meet the requirements of the global economy, and prepare specialists and leaders who will drive change.
The celebration concluded with the awarding of honors to distinguished managers of the Technical University – Sofia, faculty members, representatives of the state administration and business, staff, doctoral students, and students for their contribution to the establishment and development of the Faculty of Economics and their achieved successes.
Congratulations and many happy returns!
