The World Federation of Scientists (WFS), headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with President, world-renowned physicist Prof. Antonino Zichichi, announces a competition for one-year scholarships for young Bulgarian scientists to conduct scientific research under the supervision of distinguished Bulgarian scientists. Young people (up to 35 years old) who have completed their higher education and who, under the supervision of distinguished scientists (from BAS, universities, SCA, and departmental institutes), must solve or are already solving a specific scientific problem, are eligible to apply for these competitions. The scientific problem must necessarily fall within the scope of the 15 planetary dangers defined by WFS and listed below (for more information about WFS and the planetary dangers, you can visit http://www.federationofscientists.org/ and http://www.worldlab.ch/). Preliminary selection is carried out by the Scientific Secretariat of BAS, while final selection and awarding of scholarships are carried out by WFS.
