Competitions for named scholarships of the "EUREKA" Foundation have started

 For the sixteenth consecutive year, the EVRIKA Foundation announces a competition for students who will receive  named scholarships in the amount of 2,300 BGN annually  in ten scientific fields: Computer Science in the name of John Atanasov; Mathematics in the name of Acad. Nikola Obreshkov; Physics in the name of Acad. Georgi Nadzhakov; Chemistry and Chemical Technologies in the name of Acad. Rostislav Kaishev; Medicine and Biology in the name of Acad. Metodi Popov; Agrarian Sciences, including Veterinary Sciences and Forestry in the name of Acad. Doncho Kostov; Engineering Sciences in the field of electronics, automation and electrical engineering in the name of Acad. Dimitar Mishev; Engineering Sciences in the field of mechanical engineering technologies in the name of Acad. Angel Balevski; Construction and Architecture in the name of Kolyo Ficheto and Economics in the name of Acad. Evgeni Mateev.

For the fifth consecutive year, following a competition and according to the rules for awarding named scholarships, another ten recipients of the special scholarship "Huawei ICT" in the amount of 1,000 USD will be determined for students enrolled in the specialties of communication technology and systems, computer technologies, informatics and other integrated fields.

Bulgarian students at Bulgarian universities in the specified fields, according to the naming of the scholarships, are eligible to apply for the named scholarships and the "Huawei ICT" scholarships, having completed at least the second year of their studies with an annual academic performance of no less than very good (5.00), enrolled in full-time studies for the academic year 2018/2019.

The best candidates based on documents will be invited for an interview with a specialized jury, which will make the final decision on the respective recipients of the ten named scholarships and the ten scholarships "Huawei ICT".

• Application (free text) expressing the desire to participate in the competition for receiving a named scholarship from the EUREKA Foundation and a Form by sample /can be downloaded from the website – www.evrika.org/;
• University certificate of academic success by academic years and enrollment for the new academic year 2018/2019;
• Copy of documents confirming participation and ranking in national and international competitions, olympiads, and conferences, publications in scientific journals, and other such achievements of the candidate in mastering the respective sciences, recognition on creativity and other;
• Essay on the topic „My future as a specialist – dreams, plans, and reality” / up to 3 pages /.
