On June 26, 2025, a meeting was held at the Technical University – Sofia with representatives of the Ukrainian community in the country regarding the admissions campaign for foreign citizens with temporary protection on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria (CMoN 264 / July 25, 2024). During the meeting, the Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Georgi Venkov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Activities, Accreditation and Academic Staff, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, and MSc. Eng. Silviya Borislavova, Head of the Academic Department, familiarized the attendees with the criteria, admission procedures, and training opportunities at TU – Sofia for students with protection.
They can also take an exam to demonstrate their level of English. The exam is in online format and will be held on July 1 and 2 of this year. Special attention was paid to the importance of translating and legalizing all academic documents, including providing an equivalence document from the Regional Directorate of Education (RDE), to ensure successful admission. Both sides expressed interest in conducting additional informational meetings for students with temporary protection under CMoN 264 / July 25, 2025.
